The Christchurch Foundation is proud to present the 2021 winners of the Kate Sheppard Women’s Fund.

We were very fortunate this year to have a corporate sponsor Evotek Technologies, a locally run, 30-year-old family business who made the fourth grant possible.
Emily Cormack
Emily is the co-manager for Regenerate Christchurch, a subsidiary of Cultivate Christchurch. Regenerate is an initiative to support local whānau, rangatahi, and communities experiencing food insecurity to access high quality produce through learning with us and through Regenerate’s coaching team to grow their kai own in their backyards, or to have access through participation and being able to take home what is grown on Regenerate’s farm.
Heather Milne
Heather Milne runs Christchurch Aunties, who provide practical donations for over 8,000 women and children who have experienced family violence in Christchurch. She mobilises 4,700 ‘Aunties’ throughout Christchurch to make this happen.
Lois Hill
Lois Hill is the Project Coordinator and course deliverer of Bike Bridge. Many New Zealander-born Kiwi take bicycle riding for granted. Bike Bridge aims to make it possible for migrant and former refugee women, who may never have had the opportunity in their home countries, to own a bike and to be able to ride it with confidence.
Joy Reid
Joy Reid is the Co-founder and Chief Executive of One Mother to Another, a grassroots charity that provides care packages to caregivers in hospital with their sick child. These bags of love are a gift of kindness and contain both practical and luxury items. Most importantly, they also receive a hand-written note of support to let them know someone is thinking of them through at a vulnerable and distressing time.
