Join us in making a difference! The Christchurch Foundation and Ministry of Awesome have joined forces to support the greater Christchurch region’s women startup founders—and we need your help.
We’re seeking contributions to this newly created fund which will provide local startup founders with travel, accommodation, and complimentary passes to Electrify Aotearoa - the must-attend conference event for women founders in New Zealand.
Your contribution will go towards providing a startup founder with:

Round trip flights from Christchurch to Wellington

One night’s accommodation
Together, we can drive the growth of women-led enterprises in Christchurch and beyond.
You can contribute in one of two ways:

what is electrify aotearoa?
Launched in 2021, Electrify Aotearoa is New Zealand’s largest celebration of women-led innovation. This dynamic event, organised by the Ministry of Awesome, inspires, connects, and empowers women founders and those passionate about supporting the women founder community across New Zealand.

Held 24-25 June 2025 at St James Theatre in Wellington, Electrify Aotearoa is back as the must-attend event for women founders, ambitious startup leaders, supporters and investors to fuel the growth of women-led high-growth ventures in New Zealand.
Organised by the Ministry of Awesome — one of New Zealand’s leading startup community organisations — Electrify Aotearoa is dedicated to building NZ’s economy through founder-led innovation.
Day 1: Practical & Interactive Workshops
Dive into intensive, hands-on workshops delivered by seasoned founders and operators who’ve successfully grown and scaled startups. Gain practical advice you can apply immediately.
Day 2: Inspirational Speakers & Networking
Be inspired by the trailblazing Kiwi entrepreneurs. Hear their stories of triumphs, challenges, and lessons that can fuel your entrepreneurial journey here in Aotearoa.

Why attending Electrify Aotearoa will benefit your entrepreneurial journey
Complimentary passes are limited, made possible by the generosity of donors. Applications will be reviewed by a panel, and recipients will be selected based on the strength of their submission.
Successful applicants need to be willing to contribute to communications/marketing initiatives about the fund and the impact of attending the conference. Further information about this will be provided.
Complimentary passes provide full access to both days of Electrify Aotearoa (24 & 25 June).
Food, additional travel costs and incidentals are not included and must be covered by recipients.
