Youth Hub Christchurch is going from strength to strength since opening in November 2024.
The Hub’s supported housing wing is now at full occupancy and providing safe and secure transitional housing for 22 rangatahi in need of immediate housing.
Meanwhile, the Hub’s wraparound services block is now home to a range of youth organisations including Youthline, VOYCE Whakarongo Mai, Te Tahi Youth, Rerenga Awa (Canterbury Youth Workers Collective), the Christchurch Youth Council, The Collaborative Trust, Te Kura, Southern Health School and Comcol.
The Hub also recently unveiled a giant 164-metre youth-led mural, making its Outdoor Activities Courtyard the coolest courtyard in Christchurch to hang out in! The Courtyard is open 11am-7pm 365 days a year, while the rest of the Hub is open weekdays, 8.30am-5pm.

The Hub’s atrium now also features a range of activities including pool, table tennis, board games, puzzles and hangout areas for rangatahi and visitors to relax in.
If you haven’t checked it out already, you're most welcome to visit 109 Salisbury Street and have a look!
The Hub team are also about to embark on building an Events and Activities Centre, which will open in 2026 - the funds raised will purchase items and equipment so the Centre can host drama, music, dance, film and indoor sports.
